Sustainability
Our Commitment
Carolina Summer was founded on the belief that beautiful swimwear should be made responsibly. We are committed to thoughtful production, ethical treatment of workers, and reducing our environmental footprint wherever possible. As a small, independently owned brand, we choose intention over excess.
Made In-House, Made in the USA
Every Carolina Summer piece is designed and produced in-house in the United States. We do not outsource overseas manufacturing or mass-produce inventory. Each garment is carefully constructed in small batches, allowing us to maintain quality, reduce waste, and ensure fair working conditions.
Because production remains hands-on and local, we are able to oversee every detail — from pattern to final stitch.
Responsible Materials
Our swimwear is crafted from recycled stretch fabric sourced from a U.S.-based textile supplier. By incorporating recycled materials into our designs, we reduce reliance on virgin synthetics while maintaining the durability and performance required for swimwear.
We prioritize longevity in both design and construction, creating pieces meant to be worn season after season rather than discarded after one summer.
Small Batch Production
We produce in limited quantities to avoid overproduction and excess inventory. Small-batch production allows us to minimize waste and remain intentional with every collection.
Unlike large-scale manufacturers, we do not create surplus stock that ultimately ends up discarded. What we produce is made with purpose.
Ethical Standards
We believe everyone involved in making products should be treated with respect, paid fairly, and work in safe conditions. By keeping production in-house and local, we maintain full visibility into how our garments are made and ensure ethical standards are upheld.
Ongoing Responsibility
Sustainability is an ongoing effort. As we grow, we are committed to continuously evaluating our materials, processes, and packaging to further reduce our impact.
Transparency and improvement will always guide our decisions.
